Patrons
For more than 20 years, the Monocacy Monocle has been telling the stories of our community and delivering them to our readers free of charge. We want to keep it that way — but we need your help.
We have been especially encouraged by your response to our expanded focus, A Chronicle of Our Lives: Past and Present for the Future. Special editions celebrating our local Black communities, the 80th Anniversary of UMCVFD, public education and agriculture in the Ag Reserve, Montgomery County’s 250th Anniversary, and other parts of our shared history have allowed us to tell stories that might otherwise be lost.
Producing this kind of in-depth local journalism requires more pages, more photographs, and additional writers and staff. With advertising revenue no longer sufficient to cover those growing costs, we are asking readers who value the Monocle to help support its future by becoming an annual Monocle Subscribing Patron.
Patron levels are $25, $50, $75, or an amount of your choice. You can become a subscribing patron at monocacymonocle.com by completing the form below. Checks may also be mailed to Monocacy Press, LLC, P.O. Box 21, Poolesville, MD 20837.
The Monocle belongs to this community in a very special way. Your support will help us continue preserving its stories — past and present — for the future.
Thank you for reading and for supporting the Monocacy Monocle.
